Hi, I'm Jenny! Professional recipe developer and Mama of 2 who is often overwhelmed by the simple fact that I need to feed my family dinner.
Every. Single. Night.
Not to mention breakfast, lunch and all the snacks in-between. I started this blog as a way to motivate myself to cook for my family in a more organized and thoughtful way.
Why Is My Blog Called Kitchen Skip?
I was feeling burned out. Cooking dinner was no longer a joy, it was an endless and overwhelming chore. I felt like I was cooking the same boring dinners over and over again. I started this blog as a way to pull myself out of my slump.
My blog is called Kitchen Skip because I want to inspire myself (and you!) to happily skip into the kitchen, instead of dragging our feet and dreading the task.
I also want simple, nourishing recipes and a simple meal planning strategy that lets me skip a few nights in the kitchen each week.
All of the recipes on Kitchen Skip are made with both parents and kids in mind. A Kitchen Skip recipe is easy, delicious, appealing to parents and adaptable for the tastes of kids.
Sound good? Let's do it together!
