Every time I spritz my counters with this easy-to-make natural kitchen cleaner it makes me happy. My kitchen is filled with the fresh scent of cinnamon, clove, orange and rosemary.

It's nice to have little things that bring a sense of calm and happiness. This homemade natural kitchen cleaner is such a simple way to treat yourself.

Not only does this kitchen spray smell good and naturally disinfect your kitchen, it’s more affordable than store-bought natural cleaners and takes less than 5 minutes to make.

    Ingredients for Kitchen Cleaner Spray

    • 1 spray bottle (I use this 16-ounce glass bottle)
    • Distilled white vinegar (found at any grocery store)
    • Water
    • Essential oils

Essential Oil Natural Kitchen Cleaner Blend

    5 drops orange oil
    5 drops cinnamon oil
    3 drops rosemary oil
    3 drops clove oil
    3 drops tea tree oil

This blend creates a homemade cleaner that has a fresh, clean scent as well as some antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

    Vinegar Cleaner Recipes

Distilled white vinegar used to make homemade cleaner can be bought in large, inexpensive bottles at most grocery stores.

Do D.I.Y vinegar cleaners really disinfect? Vinegar is strong enough to clean "ordinary household grime." If you're cleaning up after the flu or a virus, you'll want to use a stronger disinfectant.

    Tea Tree Oil Uses

Tea tree oil has antimicrobial properties. It's used in body, skin and hair care products as well as cleaning products.

Tea tree oil should be diluted, especially before applying it any part of your body.

    How to Use Clove Oil

Clove oil can be used in both cleaning and personal care products. With a strong, warm aroma similar to cinnamon and nutmeg, is both comforting and invigorating.

Clove oil should be diluted before use. You can dilute a few drops of clove oil with water or oil.

Use water to dilute clove oil to make cleaning products, like this kitchen cleaner. Or, use oil to dilute a few drops of clove oil for personal care products.

There’s really no wrong way to make this kitchen spray, so don’t fret about exact amounts. I usually fill the bottle with half water and half vinegar, then add drops of essential oils.

You can change the essential oils you use throughout the year, depending on the season and your mood. Lavender and mint are two of my favorites.

Take a few minutes here and there to do a little something nice for yourself that will make you happy. You deserve it!

Do you have a good glass cleaner recipe that does not leave streaks on my windows. I tried this one just for the sake of trying it and I definitely have lots of streaks

You might want to try just a vinegar and water solution. Sometimes the addition of essential oils can add streaks. Also, the type of cloth you use really makes a difference. I find that microfiber cloths work best on windows.
